Real needs.

“Direct lender” is a role, not a quality badge. Before entering sensitive information, identify who operates the page, who may receive the application, who makes the credit decision, who funds and services the loan, and which legal entity appears in the final agreement. Just Right Loans is a matching and decision-support service—not a lender.

Use these three steps in order. Open a worksheet when you need to check your own figures.
These tools apply the page’s audited logic to information you enter. They do not predict approval, substitute for provider disclosures, or turn unknown evidence into a positive result.
Every material stage should have a named actor or remain UNKNOWN.
A missing recipient category remains visible as PARTIAL / UNKNOWN.
The tool routes by actor; it does not invent regulator jurisdiction.
The map returns ROLE CLEAR, VERIFY BEFORE SHARING, AGREEMENT MISMATCH or STOP. It does not assume that a lender is safer merely because it is “direct,” and it does not let a matching service imply that it approves, funds or sets terms1.
Examples explain actor boundaries; they do not evaluate a specific company.
| Actor | May do | Does not automatically do | User evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Loan comparison and matching product | Collect information with consent and attempt to connect a user with providers. | Approve, set APR2/fees, fund or service the loan. | Role disclosure, privacy/consent terms and recipient explanation. |
| Marketplace/comparison service | Present research or multiple potential routes. | Guarantee inventory, eligibility3 or final terms. | Methodology, source dates and commercial relationships. |
| Lender/creditor | Underwrite, make the credit decision, issue the offer and fund under its process. | Guarantee a timing/approval result beyond its disclosed conditions. | Legal name in offer/agreement, product/state authority and final disclosures. |
| Servicer | Send statements, process payments and handle account support under its role. | Change the original obligation without authority or valid notice. | Verified statement, account portal and agreement/transfer notice. |
Do not accept until the legal obligation and payment destination are understandable.
| Document field | What to match | Mismatch action |
|---|---|---|
| Creditor/lender legal name | Offer, agreement and required disclosures. | Pause and request clarification. |
| Amount/net proceeds4 | Application need and final disbursement calculation. | Re-run amount and fee test. |
| APR/fees5/payment schedule | Final disclosure and all referenced add-ons. | Do not rely on marketing estimate. |
| Servicing/payment instructions | Agreement or verified transfer notice. | Never redirect payment based only on an unsolicited message. |
| Cancellation/contact rights | Agreement and applicable provider disclosures. | Use the stated official channel. |
A consent screen should answer who, what, why and how to stop or exercise available choices.
| Question | Minimum useful answer | Unsafe pattern |
|---|---|---|
| Who operates the service? | Legal entity and contact path. | Only a brand or domain with no operator. |
| What data is collected? | Categories relevant to matching/application and security. | A vague “information” label beside sensitive fields. |
| Who may receive it? | Named recipients or meaningful categories consistent with the service. | Unlimited/unclear sharing hidden from the form. |
| Why is it shared? | Matching, application, verification or another specific purpose. | Unrelated marketing bundled without clear disclosure. |
| What controls exist? | Privacy rights/choices and contact method where applicable. | No accessible policy or consent record. |
Use official state or federal registries where applicable, but interpret them carefully.
| Check | Pass condition | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Exact legal entity | Registry result matches the agreement entity. | A similar brand name is not enough. |
| Exact activity/product | Authority covers the relevant lending/brokering/servicing role. | A business registration alone may not establish lending authority. |
| State and date | Status applies to the user’s state and is current. | National marketing does not prove state availability. |
| Complaint/support route | Official regulator/provider channels are identifiable. | A registry is not a recommendation or guarantee. |
Just Right Loans is a free loan comparison, matching and decision-support product, not a lender. We do not make credit decisions, set APRs or fees, service loans, or guarantee approval, an amount, a rate, or a funding time. Any lender or provider controls eligibility, verification, credit-review methods, state availability, pricing, repayment terms, and funding. Review the lender's final disclosures and agreement before accepting credit.
No. Just Right Loans is a matching, referral and decision-support service and does not make credit decisions or fund loans.
No. The label describes a role. Compare the exact product, authority, cost, data practices, payment schedule6 and support—not the label alone.
The lender or creditor using its underwriting and verification process, not a matching service.
That depends on the service and consent. Review the operator’s privacy and consent disclosures for named recipients or meaningful categories and purposes.
Check the legal creditor named in the offer and loan agreement, then verify the entity and state/product authority through appropriate official sources.
It may show estimates or provider information, but only the lender’s final disclosures and agreement establish your actual amount, APR, fees and schedule.
Use the servicer/payment instructions in your verified agreement, statement or authenticated account portal; confirm any change through an official channel.
Test an illustrative amount, APR and term. This estimate is not an offer and does not include every possible fee.
Use the lender's written disclosures for APR, fees, payment schedule, total repayment and funding terms.
Assumes a fixed contract interest rate, equal monthly payments and no balloon payment. Do not use fee-inclusive APR as the interest rate. A deducted fee reduces cash received; other fees and payment-date differences can change the lender’s final figures.
Continue only after the amount, usable proceeds, payment, cost, timing and repayment structure pass the page’s decision checks.
Check Loan Options →These references provide general consumer information. Confirm current eligibility, rates, fees, terms and availability directly with the lender or relevant agency.
Term versus contract terms. The loan term is the time allowed for repayment. “Terms” can also mean the complete agreement, including fees, due dates and other conditions. Changing the repayment period does not change all of those conditions automatically. ↩ Back to text
APR and the interest rate. APR expresses borrowing costs on an annual basis and can include required charges beyond interest. It is not the dollar amount you will repay. Compare it alongside net cash received, the repayment term and the lender’s disclosed payment schedule. ↩ Back to text
Eligibility is lender-specific. Eligibility means meeting the requirements of the particular provider and product. A general category, example or checklist on this page does not establish approval, a borrowing limit or an available rate. ↩ Back to text
Money actually available to use. Here, net proceeds means the cash left after any amount withheld from the loan at disbursement. A $1,000 principal with a $100 deducted fee leaves $900 to use; the debt is not automatically reduced to $900. ↩ Back to text
How fees affect the comparison. A fee may be deducted from the amount sent to you, financed into the balance, or paid separately. These treatments change the comparison differently. Check the written disclosure and count each charge once. ↩ Back to text
A payment that fits the budget. Payment fit refers to your budget after essential spending, existing debts and a reserve. A lender’s willingness to approve a payment does not establish that it is comfortable for your household. Check when the first payment is due. ↩ Back to text
