Real needs.

Dental financing starts with a written treatment plan1, plan-benefit estimate, annual maximum and the patient’s responsibility. Predetermination is not guaranteed payment, and any treatment staging must come from the dentist; the page compares financing without recommending delay or clinical changes.
Define the exact expense, due date and repayment fit.
Real needs.

Required arrival.
Timing-fit routes.
Cost, terms and fit.
If approved.
Use these three steps in order. Open a worksheet when you need to check your own figures.
The $700 is shifted, not erased: plan for that later payment. Only the dentist can approve treatment timing, and an unconfirmed benefit is not available cash.
Use these page-specific checks to work through inputs that can materially change the decision. They supplement the decision framework and do not predict approval or replace a lender’s written disclosures.
Just Right Loans is a free loan comparison and matching product, not a lender, dentist, dental-plan administrator or treatment adviser. It does not decide which treatment is clinically necessary, which procedures can safely be staged, what a dental plan will reimburse, or which financing product will be approved. The dentist's treatment plan, dental-plan documents and lender/credit-provider agreement control those decisions.
The primary comparison converts the written treatment plan into a procedure-by-procedure cost map. It separates the dentist's fee from plan allowance, expected plan payment and the amount the patient may actually have to finance.
Add the separately priced items and subtract confirmed offsets. Compare written totals on the same scope; deposits already included in the price are not an extra cost.
Planning only. These calculations use your inputs, do not check live provider terms and do not establish approval or available funding. Nothing entered here is saved or sent to a lender.

ADA guidance emphasizes that dental benefits vary widely and commonly include limitations such as annual maximums. A predetermination can help estimate3 benefits for complex treatment but is not a guarantee of payment.
For treatment already completed, ADA's dental EOB4 guidance identifies plan allowance, covered percentage, deductible, amount paid and patient responsibility as key fields. you should finance the verified patient balance - not a duplicate or incorrectly adjudicated amount.
Identify the difference between the provider bill and insurer EOB, then account for payments already credited.

Large dental treatment plans can contain multiple services or visits. the comparison can model stages only after the dental team identifies which steps can be scheduled separately without compromising care.

Calculate the actual amount still needed before this deadline, after confirmed coverage, reductions, arrangements and available cash.
Each offset must be separate, confirmed and available in time. Do not subtract insurance, a discount or assistance twice. Expected money arriving later belongs in a timing/bridge calculation. A payment plan changes timing; it does not erase the debt.

ADA recognizes both internal dental-office financing and external financing programs. Use the checks below to compare them on identical fields rather than assume a credit card or personal loan is better.
Enter the terms of two or more offers. See monthly payments, cash received, total scheduled payments and borrowing cost side by side.
Fixed-rate, fully amortizing monthly loans only. Use the contract interest rate—not APR, which can already include fees. If supplied, the quoted monthly payment replaces the estimate. Include financed fees in principal; do not enter them again as deducted or separate fees. Balloon payments, variable rates and deferred-interest plans need the actual repayment schedule.

CareCredit's current dental financing materials advertise 'No Interest if Paid in Full' promotional financing for qualifying purchases of $200 or more over 6, 12, 18 or 24 months at participating providers. Interest is charged from the purchase date if the promotional balance is not paid in full by the end of the promotional period5. The minimum monthly payment may not be enough to pay the promotional balance off in time.
Calculate the payment needed to clear the promotional balance and any balance your current plan would leave at expiry.

ADA notes that many dental plans use annual maximums. Use the checks below to display the actual plan maximum and remaining benefit rather than use a generic industry number.

Before external financing, The checks below show lower-cost routes where appropriate. ADA's patient resources point consumers to reduced-cost dental care options; CODA provides a directory of accredited dental education programs.
Dental treatment can create more than one payment event: deposit, procedure date, follow-up phase and external financing payment. Test the overlap rather than looking at the loan payment alone.
See how much remains after essential costs, existing debt, your chosen reserve and the new payment.
Use take-home income, not gross receipts. Include continuing care, insurance, transport, tax reserves and other costs relevant to this page. Count each expense once. For joint borrowing, test each person against the entire payment separately.

Current dental gap = dentist-scheduled current phase + separate confirmed vendor costs - confirmed paid/authorized benefit - cash/HSA/FSA - written office-plan amount shifted. Predetermination and annual maximum remain constraints, not guaranteed payments.

Just Right Loans is a free loan comparison, matching and decision-support product, not a lender. We do not make credit decisions, set APRs or fees, service loans, or guarantee approval, an amount, a rate, a funding time, program access, coverage, legal outcome or treatment result. A provider or program controls eligibility, verification, credit-review methods, terms, disbursement and servicing.
Usually personal financing used for a verified dental patient balance.
No; it remains subject to plan rules and claim processing.
A plan-year benefit limit, not a promise of payment.
Only when the treating dentist confirms the sequence/timing is clinically acceptable.
Model the payment needed to clear the full balance before the agreement deadline, not just the minimum.
Use the same verified balance and compare down payment, fees/interest, payment, term and consequences.
Stop when treatment/benefit facts or promo terms are incomplete or payment fails.
Use the loan principal, contract interest rate and term to estimate monthly payments. APR can include fees and is not the same as the contract interest rate.
Actual APR, fees, payment timing and total repayment come from the provider's written disclosures. Add origination or other required fees separately where applicable.
Assumes a fixed contract interest rate, equal monthly payments and no balloon payment. Do not use fee-inclusive APR as the interest rate. A deducted fee reduces cash received; other fees and payment-date differences can change the lender’s final figures.
Continue only after the amount, usable proceeds, payment, cost, timing and repayment structure pass the page’s decision checks.
Check Loan Options →These references provide general consumer information. Confirm current eligibility, rates, fees, terms and availability directly with the lender or relevant agency.
Finance the confirmed stage, not an assumption. Separate the amount due now from later stages whose timing or cost is not yet confirmed. Do not delay urgent care based on a financing worksheet; the treating professional determines clinical timing. ↩ Back to text
Expected reimbursement is not cash today. Verify what the policy covers, any deductible or limit, and when reimbursement could arrive. Until confirmed, keep an expected payment separate from cash already available for the bill. ↩ Back to text
Keep the scope and price together. An estimate should identify what is included, what might be billed separately and when payment is due. Financing an incomplete quote can leave a second cash gap even after the loan is funded. ↩ Back to text
An EOB is not the provider’s bill. An explanation of benefits describes how an insurer processed a claim. Reconcile it with the provider’s itemized bill and any corrections before financing an apparent balance. A disputed amount should not silently become a confirmed loan need. ↩ Back to text
Read the promotion’s payoff conditions. A deferred-interest promotion is not automatically the same as a true zero-interest loan. Check the written conditions, the date the balance must be cleared and the consequences of a remaining balance. Do not use the minimum payment as a payoff plan. ↩ Back to text
Money actually available to use. Here, net proceeds means the cash left after any amount withheld from the loan at disbursement. A $1,000 principal with a $100 deducted fee leaves $900 to use; the debt is not automatically reduced to $900. ↩ Back to text
